Directly behind the Brenner Pass, i.e. at the Austrian border and the heart of the Alps, the Eisacktal and Pustertal intersect, only about 180 km south of Munich and approx. 200 km northeast of Milan. Here, in the province of South Tyrol in the north of Italy, you will find the Ski & Almenregion Gitschberg Jochtal.

The picturesque villages of the Ski & Almenregion are characterised by their idyllic situation and offer wonderful 360-degree views. The mild climate with many hours of sun and the untouched mountain and Almen world invites to take extensive discovery tours throughout the year. The culture city of Brixen/Bressanone, one of the oldest cities of the region Tirol, is only a few minutes away by car.

Simply leave your car parked and use public means of transport? No problem in South Tyrol. From Mühlbach you will get to Meransen, Vals, Rodeneck, Vintl and Spinges without any problems. By train and bus you can even reach all of South Tyrol from Mühlbach without any trouble whatsoever and with Almencard PLUS even without any charge.

From Mühlbach, the cable cars directly take you to Meransen, where buses connect to Vals, Pfunders, Rodeneck and the Rodenecker Lüsner Alm on an hourly basis. During the high summer season you even reach more remote spots, such as the Fane Alm, by shuttle bus.

Taking the train to South Tyrol
The Brenner train line trains stop at Franzensfeste/Fortezza, both coming from the north and the south. With local trains, you can then continue to the Pustertal, to Mühlbach and Vintl where buses and/or the Meransen cable cars take you to the other holiday resorts.
With South Tyrol’s convenient Mobilcard Südtirol you use the well-developed bus system of the region as you please. AlmencardPLUS and Museummobil card furthermore come with free admission to 90 museums in all of South Tyrol.

The Südtirol Bus comfortably takes you from Munich to South Tyrol and back, several times a day.

If you arrive by train or bus in South Tyrol you can use the "Südtirol Transfer”, a
region-wide connection shuttle for the last few kilometres to your accommodation.
You can get to your holiday accommodation from the train stations in Bolzano/
Bozen, Meran/Merano, Mals/Malles, Brixen/Bressanone, Bruneck/Brunico or Innichen/San Candido, as well as from the ‘Flixbus’ bus stops in Bolzano, Meran, Klausen/Chiusa, Vahrn/Varna or Sterzing/Vipiteno and after your holiday you will be brought back to the stop.

Coming from the south or north, you exit the Brenner motorway A22 at Brixen Nord and continue direction Pustertal/Bruneck. After approximately 3-4 km, you reach the Ski & Almenregion Gitschberg Jochtal.

To get to Spinges, you continue direction Natz Schabs and then arrive at Spinges.
To reach Mühlbach, Meransen and Vals, you turn right before the tunnel.
Vintl and the Pfunderertal are accessible via the main road.
From the east via Lienz - Innichen or Staller Sattel in Bruneck, you take the Pustertaler road, which you follow until you reach the respectively marked exits.
